NYLS is beginning a database of book clubs in and around NYC. If your book club meets in a public space and you would like us to include it in our database, simply email us the particulars. If you would like to list your book club on our web site, we'll tell you how!

 

...have a favorite neighborhood bookstore that does wonderful and fun things in your community? NYLS would like to help you sing their praises. Email us their business information along with a paragraph of what it is they do for you and how it makes you feel, and we'll post their events on our web site. Statements

The New York Literary Society (NYLS), is a publicly funded charity re-incorporated in the State of New York in May of 1995 for the purposes of enhancing literacy and promoting an appreciation for literature among adults and children. We are a nonprofit organization formed pursuant to Section 402 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law of the State of New York and organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.

The NYLS mission is to serve society by helping to cultivate a literate nation through the support and promotion of quality literature.
